The grandest stage of them all for every sports enthusiast, the CET Olympics…Okay..cutting it short…Engineers’ Cup stole the limelight a week back before the clouds of internals appeared to spread gloom across the CETizens. Pardon the delay as your CETards were too busy with internals and poor WiFi facilities.

The Trophies that Matter!

The sporting extravaganza’s grand inauguration ceremony took place on 15th of February with notable guests like Dr. L.N. Panda; Dr. D.P. Bagarthy, PIC, Student Affairs; Dr. Madhav Chandra Tripathy; Faculty-in-Charge, Sports and Games from our college. Other honorable guests to grace the occasion were Mr. Pravat Ranjan Mallick, profound Ranji player for the state and Mr. Pankaj Pratihari, who has the distinction of winning World Body Building Championship (Mr. Asia) and various other such tournaments.
The occasion was kick started by lighting of the lamp by Guest faculties and speakers, followed by hoisting of the flag of Engineers’ Cup by Dr. L.N. Panda. Engineers’ Cup was finally declared open by      Dr. D.P. Bagarthy, PIC, Student Affairs.
The mega event spanned over three days in which the home team grabbed numerous laurels, namely:

Intense Reactions!

With the zeal and enthusiasm of the players and the overwhelming turnout of the spectators, this year’s Engineers’ Cup was a grandeur that would be hard to replicate in years to come. The Spirit of the Game was redefined and CET proved to be a very capable host, not to mention winning several laurels at their own backyard. CET-Rising congratulates all the winners and a small round of hooting for all the winners from CET. (Can’t help it, it’s our college after all). We look forward to many more events as such from the Athletic Society.
Finally....Taste of Victory!

We also thank CET Photofactory for the photographs!
