Hope is All You Need

Here I am, huddled up in a corner all alone,
with no one around to listen to my moan.
The eagerness to channel the throbbing pain,
is being dampened by the falling rain.

The tears are incessantly rolling down,
Life seems to be jeering at me like a clown.
Even a glint of the sodden eyes in the darkness,
would surely reflect the unfathomable sadness.

A tiny ray of hope is all I seek;
but chances of its discovery seem very bleak.
I need to have faith; I have to be strong,
For I have a road ahead, stretching out long.

When uncertainties around, swallow us whole,
The only saviour is, the power of our soul.
The sudden realization instilled in me a new zeal,
to valourlessly meet, every ordeal.

The dawn awoke in me a will to bear,
With that, I strut out, like the champion King Lear.

  1. I would like to quote someone here
"Hope is good for breakfast but makes a bad dinner."
